What should I do about the wild heart that wants to be free and the tame heart that wants to come home? I want to be held. I don’t want you to come too close.
I want you to scoop me up and bring me home at night.
I don’t want to tell you where I am.
I want to be with you.

The main reason Santa is so jolly is because he knows where all the bad girls live.

Merry early Christmas, my internet loves.

I've been hardly present here for months but I promise to be better in 2020. Until then, I hope the end of 2019 finds you merry and bright and surrounded by people who adore you!

xox.

They stared at her together for a moment.
Sun beams played over marble,
making the pink alabaster glow as if rosy blood danced
just under the surface
of Aphrodite's skin.

when He created you lying in bed
He knew what He was doing
He was drunk and He was high
and He created the mountains and the
sea and fire at the same time

He made some mistakes
but when He created you lying in bed
He came all over his Blessed Universe

Photographing Nudes

When I began to photograph nudes, I let myself be guided by the camera, and instead of photographing what I saw, I photographed what the camera was seeing.
I interfered very little, and the lens produced anatomical images
and shapes which my eyes had never observed.

Now and then she turns her eyes to him, shining like stars,
while all about her is the witchery of the moonbeams

You will never be able to experience everything.
So, please, do poetical justice to your soul and simply experience yourself.

I'm so incredibly pleased to announce that I'm on an episode of Molly's Kisscast! We talked about many things like dating and the Smut Marathon and where the name Annie Savoy comes from but we talked mostly and really extensively about photography, the difficulties and pleasures of being both a photographer and a model, our feelings about photoshop and body image and (funnily enough) why it is that I spend so much time taking photos of myself in front of windows. Like this one :)

I know that this website of mine is both very revealing and at the same time not at all revealing of me as a person. So if you're interested in what lies beneath these pictures, you'll find out quite a bit more about me by listening to this conversation.  Especially the beginning and the end of the podcast.

I want to thank Molly for her time. It was such a fun hour of my life and I would do it again in a nanosecond! Please support her podcast by downloading this new season she's created. She's already interviewed Hyacinth Jones and also Cass Ford and both episodes are delightful. I can't wait to see who comes next.

My episode of Molly's podcast is here on her website and you can also download it from iTunes and Spotify and many other places.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

I am the poet of the body,
And I am the poet of the soul.
The pleasures of heaven are with me and
the pains of
hell are with me.
The first I graft and increase upon myself
 — the latter I
translate into a new tongue.
— Walt Whitman

I took this picture on my birthday this week.

In honor of having survived and grown and learned and thrived and suffered (a little) and enjoyed myself (a lot), I present this unedited view of my current self.

Here's to year #48 and everything that comes with it!
