Photographing Nudes

When I began to photograph nudes, I let myself be guided by the camera, and instead of photographing what I saw, I photographed what the camera was seeing.
I interfered very little, and the lens produced anatomical images
and shapes which my eyes had never observed.

I love the angular framing of this image. The way the eye is drawn into the circular mirror and back out again to the skyline is fabulous.

Somehow the tilt of the angular buildings in the background highlights and emphasizes the curves in the round mirror.

This is an incredible image. I love the subtileness and yet, the profoundness of the presence of the nudity in the small round mirror on the backdrop of that view. There is a certain quality of simplicity here that works so well, and the colour scheme finishes it off. It's the perfect shot.
