Since I control the camera, there are definitely times when I think I look better with my clothes off. I wonder if I would feel the same if someone else was taking these pictures? Would they see me the way that I want to be seen? Would something different be revealed in me through their lens? I've had friends suggest that I expand this project to include other people. It's hard to imagine. It's so very different to pose for someone else, in the same way that I'd have to completely retrack my mind to see someone else's body the way I'm trying to see my own. But it would be an interesting experiment... I don't really have time today to explore this subject. But I'll get back to it. Also is anyone bothered by the way the written text on my arm isn't duplicated in my arm reflection? I can't tell if I like that or not.

I agree. I've taken many more pictures of myself than the ones I've posed for. If I trust the photographer, posing has been a great experience. Albeit completely different from posing for myself.

I'm with Silverdom - I take my own pictures (hence the trusty selfie-stick) as I know I'd feel shy and up-tight if my OH did it. I'm not very photogenic, but if I leave my face out of it and press the button myself it works better.

I am totally comfortable with my picture being taken.... when I control the camera. I will let m partner do it sometimes but really I like being the one in control.

you do a great job of photographing other people. And it's interesting to me because your self portraits have a very different feel than the ones you take of other people. It's like looking through different eyes.

Gorgeous image. As for posing for yourself versus posing for others. It is something I often wonder about too. Personally I love that I take my images myself, it feel like a better reflection of me. It's my vision of me, not someone else's and currently that is what I enjoy most about my Sinful Sunday explorations x

isn't that table interesting? It's black glass. I also love the way it looks like water.

I don't mind having my picture taken by someone else, but it depends who the someone else is. My husband always was the one taking them, but nowadays I am quite into self photography and still exploring. It's lovely to do.

I think it's about trusting the photographer. And if you have a personal relationship with them, not just artistic, it can make photographs really interesting and intimate. I think we see a lot of this on Sinful Sunday, it's one of the things I really love about it.

it's a challenge to take good pictures, isn't it? For me, it's enough of a challenge that I'm content not thinking about adding someone else to the mix :)

I find one of the most amazing things about your work is that you take all these photos yourself.
